I'm Sarah Lizabeth
People often say to me, "I don’t know how you do what you do." Some days, I find myself wondering the same thing. But what I can say is this: I don't do it alone.
I have been blessed with a heart for service, and that is the driving force behind everything I do. I genuinely care about others, and I thrive on uplifting those around me. I enjoy a good book, an inspiring podcast, and I’ve never shied away from exploring a new trail.
Mornings are sacred to me. I won’t speak to anyone until I’ve had my two cups of coffee. I love to laugh so hard that my nostrils flare! Each day, my mission is to serve my family and make an impact in the wedding industry. It has taken me a long time to express what I truly love, as I’ve often prioritized others' needs above my own. Life hasn’t always been perfect, but with each new day, my mission is to be the best version of myself and to serve others with joy and gratitude.
It takes more than
It takes passion and grit. I am passionate about serving others well. For as long as I can remember, I have loved event planning. The specific shift to impact the wedding industry came from a passion to serve others during an important and stressful time in their life. When I first started, I read all the books, took all the courses, and watched all the videos. Even after all of that, it wasn’t until I worked my first wedding where I learned about grit. I remember being out in the middle of nowhere tearing down a wedding by myself until 5am. (The wedding ended at 11pm) I broke down every chair and stacked them, I took down all the lights, cleaned off every table, took those tables down, stacked them and hauled all the trash. It was just me and the animals that met me on top of that hill that night. I watched the sunrise as I loaded everything into my car and drove an hour home. No one knew what I did by myself. No one knew how long it took me to tear down that wedding. No one thanked me for my work. I didn’t need that. I just needed the knowledge of giving a couple the best day ever that started their marriage and my career of selfless service to others. Fast forward to today, they have five sons and life is perfectly hectic. That is why I do what I do.
Rooted in LOVE
It has truly been an honor to serve countless couples and families throughout my nearly two-decade career. For me, this journey is so much more than the awards I've received or the hundreds of clients I've had the privilege to support. It's about using the gifts that God has blessed me with to help others during what can be one of the most stressful times in their lives. As someone who has navigated the extremely difficult journey of divorce, my perspective on wedding planning is rooted in taking care of your relationship through the planning process and maintaining a healthy perspective. I never take for granted the opportunities I’ve had in this industry, including building a meaningful wedding planning career, owning a beautiful event venue, and founding an organization dedicated to turning wedding dreams into reality for those in need while uplifting partners in the wedding and event industry nationwide. As the author of Planning a Wedding for Dummies, I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and experiences. Now, my mission is to make a profound impact on the wedding industry like never before through the courses I have created at The Wedding Planning Process, guiding couples toward a joyful and stress-free wedding planning experience.
